Galaxy! A Vast, lonely place for the sole pilot of a cargoship full of dung. It didn’t make sense to transport a pile of shit that can be found anywhere, hey many worlds were pile of shit themselves, but nothing made sense after last, devastating war in the eastern quarter of the galaxy.
Suddenly a warning light came into life! Pilot straightened up in his pilotting/sleeping chair. What the hell she thought. She should not have encountered anything at least 1 light month more, but the proximity warning was alive, her command console didn’t have the habit to malfunction and there it was, something man made, invisible to her sensors until now.
It took 2 days for ship to slow down and align itself with the space derelict. It took 1 more day to repair the archaic robot arm, in which she spent precious spare parts that will be definitely useful somewhere more important sooner or later. All the hassle, lets see if it was worth it, she thought.
It was. A kind of space capsule with someone alive...
...His story finished late. His ship and his crew was to land on a ravaged world to retrieve data chips and deliver to their employer. However they had found they were not the only party looking for something. Skirmish on the foot became a fight in space, both ships exploded, at last minute he was able to reach the escape capsule. This was 3 months ago according to hibernation logs of the escape capsule.
What a story she thought. One that people will buy rounds of drinks for her to tell in many ports. Unfortunately, during the story she didn’t notice the data link he inserted to command console that automaticaly send signals, or thought to check the shiplogs afterwards, and later didn’t understand why when her big dungship landing on the Helios VII, 4 different ships landing to each corner of the spaceport at the same time.
